It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the XXIV Brazilian Congress of Toxicology (CBTOX) 2026 , which will take place in the city of São Paulo, SP, between June 3rd and 6th, 2026. With the central theme “Toxicology and trace elements in health and disease” , this edition will be a unique opportunity to promote debates and reflections on the responsibilities of Toxicology in the current scenario.

In a world increasingly impacted by human actions, the challenges involving the protection of health and the environment are at the center of global discussions. CBTOX 2026 will bring together renowned national and international experts, researchers, students, industry professionals and government representatives for an interdisciplinary and collaborative dialogue, where scientific advances, new regulatory approaches and innovative solutions in Toxicology will be presented. The scientific program will address environmental and occupational toxicology, chemical safety, social and drug toxicology, advances in alternative methods to the use of animals, clinical and molecular toxicology, and the interface with emerging areas, such as artificial intelligence and sustainability.

In 2026, CBTOX will have the unprecedented participation of The International Society of Trace Elements Research in Humans (ISTERH) and the International Society for Zinc Biology (ISZB) . We believe that CBTOX will achieve national and international visibility, which will contribute to the advancement of Brazilian Toxicology.
